Ixtractor.com is a popular, clean and easy to use fusker website. The most important feature of ixtractor is it displays only the valid images. This is important because if the submitter sends a fusker link that contains thousands of possibilities you’ll see mostly thousands of red x’s. If there are only 10 valid images in that fusker range it will display only that images. Ixtractor contains many links from photobucket but you may not see photobucket images. If it happens you need to use firefox and configure it to remove referer header info. Ixtractor is one of my favorite fusker site.

Fusker Find

Fusker Find is one of the biggest fusker portals on the net. It gathers new fusker links from various fusker sites. It is also possible to search for fuskers. You can preview the fusker search results by moving the mouse pointer over a fusker link. When you click on the fusker link you automatically visit the original fusker site. Maybe an option for displaying results with thumbnails will be better. There is a nice tag based search system on the main page. The most searched terms displayed bigger. Sometimes it is possible to discover rare content while playing with tags.

Update: Site restarted to list new fuskers now.

Firefox Fusker Plugin

There is a fusker plugin that works with firefox. After installing the plugin you can easily right click an image and choose fusker option. This plugin doesn’t work with firefox 3 but you can use it with firefox 2. Programmer said he’ll fix it in August. This may be an easy fuskering option.

I’ve found a video that shows how to fusker images from private photobucket accounts. He uses Nav.Net Fusker Program for finding images. It may be a little tricky to start finding images but their forum and fusker tutorial section has many information. There is also a rating system inside program so users can share their fuskers. Best of all it is freeware. Good Hunting!

Fusker.com Redirection

Today I’ve noticed that some fusker sites are in trouble because original fusker script redirects user to fusker.com domain. What a shame. After a little investigation I’ve discovred that calling http://www.fusker.com/network/include2.0.php script generates setTimeout ( “top.document.location.href = ‘http://www.fusker.com/default.php’;”, 250 ); result. This causes the redirection. Webmasters should remove all references to fusker.com domain to fix this redirection.

What’s Fusker?

“Fusker” can be a verb, a noun that describes a technology for the web, or a noun that describes the output web page of that technology. As a verb, “to fusker” is to identify a range of images to a fusker script that returns a web page that displays all of the images within the range.

For example, if you go to a fusker web page’s form and enter the text http://www.example.com/images/pic[1-16].jpg, the fusker technology would produce a page that displays all sixteen images in that range, from http://www.example.com/images/pic1.jpg through http://www.example.com/images/pic16.jpg.

It is also possible to use lists of words by writing http://www.example.com/images/{small,medium,big}.jpg which will produce three urls, each with one word from the bracketed list. The web page is then presented to the person who did the fusker, and can also be saved on the fusker web server so that other people may view it.
